Promoting conservation, social justice, and better living alternatives in the Tropical Andes
Finca La Fé is a 17-hectare organic farm and permaculture project located in Pucará, Ecuador.
On the western flank of the Andes at 2,000 meters above sea level, the farm is located in the cloud forest of the Tropical Andes, the most biodiverse ecological hotspot in the world. Land use consists of approximately 20% primary cloud forest, 20% secondary cloud forest, 30% agricultural land and orchards, and 30% pasture.
The farm is organized as a mixed-economy enterprise. While organic products are sold for profit, the farm itself is also a nonprofit educational center and a permaculture demonstration project that hosts courses and seminars for volunteers and students. Finca La Fé is equipped with facilities for groups of up to 30 people for short- and medium-term events.
Finca La Fé and its products are certified organic through ProBio SPG Tandarík, a certifying body in Ecuador.
Finca La Fé is also a member of ACAI, the Agroecological Farmers Association of Íntag, the Agroecological Collective of Ecuador, and the Farm-Based Education Network.
Volunteers are welcome.
100% of proceeds from the sale of our organic coffee, Café Las Orquídeas, helps fund CASA projects in Ecuador.
